Naina Maithani

Naina strongly believes that each of her works are just an extension of herself & her soul - just enriched by nature and the surroundings which co exist, kindling in her thoughts & emotions that truly camouflage themselves on to her canvases. Exhibition and participation: Indian Contemporary Art Auctions hosted by Art Chutney (Christel House, London) Several shows at KYNKYNY Art Gallery, Bangalore. 2014 - The New Romantics - KYNKYNY Art Gallery, Bangalore 2014 - Kaleidoscope - KYNKYNY Art Gallery, Bangalore 2013 - Small is Beautiful - KYNKYNY Art Gallery, Bangalore 2013 - 50 under 50 - KYNKYNY Art Gallery, Bangalore Also associated with a design house in Bangalore called "And all that jazz". Colors, Hues, Tints, Shades - all these words seem to have been acting on my senses more than ever, before unfolding themselves in all their glory in what I believe, in no better a setting than in wonderful Hoi An, Vietnam. Having an intrinsic ability and potential to revise the color wheel on a canvas using simple techniques was just something that I have been aspiring for, ever since childhood, but, which was easily shrugged away. With each painting and with each season I seem to re discover within myself a new beginning which I want to primarily dedicate to all those beautiful memories, images, sights and sounds of India, ph? c? Hoi An, Doha and the other journeys to follow in abstract art to various other quarters on the world map. I seek to translate and portray, all of those aspects in my lifes' journey to these fascinating places, with people around the globe where I have been very fortunate enough to visit. Hence all this and more I crave to express on canvas, by adding a bit of surrealism, camouflage real life images and pay tribute to the beauty of our very existence in correlation to our bountiful and pretty Mother Earth.
