My paintings are concerned with subject not form.

The abstraction comes from the search for subject.I am aware that suspension of form is needed in pure abstraction. Pure forms and pure colour are a reoccuring theme in my work.The impact of colour is direct and emotional.The specific colour pallete teamed with the repeating, recreating forms construct the internal state onto the canvas. Everything, from the inside finds its way out, turining into a work of art.

The circle being in a constant and continuous state simultaneously has gripped my artistic sensibilities. The need to play with its possiblities has shaped itself into a number of series. The entire process has left me with certain directness.
